WELCOME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUPIL SERVICES
The Lebanon Public Schools Department of Pupil Services strives to ensure that all students with disabilities between the ages of 3 and 22 have appropriate programs of instruction and related services designed to meet their individual needs. Every child has a right to a free, appropriate public education (FAPE). Some students have disabilities that make it difficult for them to learn in the general education program without special education services. Our goal is for all students to reach their fullest potential.
Section 504
Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (“Section 504”) prohibits discrimination against individuals with a disability in any program receiving Federal financial assistance. To be protected under Section 504, an individual must be determined to: (1) have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities; (2) have a record of such an impairment; or (3) be regarded as having such an impairment.
